Walk and Talk Therapy

For those looking for an in-person and immersive therapeutic experience consider scheduling a session for Walk and Talk Therapy with Rachel. During the 50 minute session we will wander through a beautiful hiking trail in Dundas, Ontario. The trail contains hills, rooted trails, and some narrow passages but mostly widened pathways.

Taking therapy into nature can help expand a client’s perspective on their current situation, help them decrease symptoms of anxiety and depression through movement and exposure to the elements, and create a more balanced dynamic between counsellor and client as we walk alongside one another. By inviting in the natural world to the counselling session, we can explore and challenge stuck points in the client’s life and introduce new coping strategies that the client can practice in between sessions by simply stepping outside on their own.


Of course confidentiality is harder to maintain when in a public space, but every effort will be taken to make sure we have privacy throughout our session.


Discovery Call (20 minutes) and initial intake session (50 minutes virtual) need to be completed before beginning walk and talk therapy.


Fees: $170 / 50 min session


Key to Success

The number one deciding factor in successful therapy is the relationship with the therapist. The client need to feel a connection in terms of communication, trust, comfort and safety during your sessions. Our role is to listen and collaborate with you in your unique situation, without any judgement, while providing unwaivering support.   Choosing a therapist is difficult which is why we offer complimentary calls to see if we are the right fit for each other.

What to Expect

We are therapists who, as well as being here to listen non-judgmentally and let you unload and sort through your problems, also tend to be more interactive in sessions. We will always support you and will guide you to explore your emotions, thoughts and behaviours, however will gently challenge you to promote further growth.

We work only with proven, evidence-based approaches including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) while being compassion focused, mindful, and inclusive.

Booking: All sessions, including the initial free consultation, can be booked online in advance for your convenience. 

Payment / Benefits: All fees subject to HST.  Payment is accepted via etransfer (preferred) or credit card, and an official receipt is always provided.

If you have benefits please check with your provider directly if they cover Psychotherapists. Please note, we do not provide direct billing at this time.
